Jump Cuts

Whilst editing as a group we wanted to show a time lapse without it being boring. By Including jump cuts you can see a variety in time. We found the more obvious they are the more effective it is. Wr made sure not to include to many jump cuts because otherwise it could just look like bad editing. For example we have a long piece of footage of the couple on the train but instead of just taking 6 seconds of that footage we clipped 1 second throughout the footage. In order to make them obvious you need to make sure that one character move slightly in order to see a shift in the different shots. As you can see below of the couple on the train each shot is slightly different giving a sense that they have been on the train for a while.
