Whilst thinking of a clear beginning and end as a group we decided we wanted to incorporate lip-syncing very subtly. However the beginning scene starts of by Lucy's character staring straight into the camera almost as if she is in a 'daze'. This could also link to Jean Baudrillard's theory of Hyper- reality. So whilst Lucy is looking straight into the camera she is in her own world but as the beat drops and she turns to Sam this is when she switches into her super reality in which she feel as if she has to be in love in order to be happy however that is not reality.
The beginning was really enjoyable yet tricky to edit because we wanted to edit-to-the beat as much as we could. I also really like the composition and colours used in the beginning. By incorporating a lot of shots in the beginning is something we discussed as a group because we did not want to bombard the audience with footage before the song even started. However I feel like the beginning states Lucy's true feelings from the beginning so the audience get to see the two perspectives.
